About Emmanuel Church
We are members of the Evangelical Alliance Wales which is an organization that serves and resources churches.
We also have links with other churches in North and South Wales from whom we receive ministry.
On a local level, we are involved with some of the churches on the island and have worked alongside them in outreach and other events on a number of occasions.
Location
We are based in the village of Trearddur Bay near Holyhead which is on the beautiful North West coast of Ynys Mon ( Anglesey ). The services are held in the village hall which is central to the community. Find directions to the hall here
One of the ways in which we try to meet the needs of the community is through social care, and a number of families in the fellowship are involved in this needy area.
Mission Statement
The mission statement of the fellowship is simple: To know Jesus and to make him known.
In accordance with this, our hope and desire is to see another great move of the Holy Spirit of God across the land of Cymru ( Wales ) and beyond. Along with many others, we are praying towards that end; to see people's lives transformed by the love of God.
Values of Emmanuel Church
At Emmanuel, we value:
The bible teaches that we are fellow members of one body. This fact is reflected in the way we share life together. By being open and honest with one another about our lives, we are able to support and encourage one another. We value the family aspect of being church and believe that our closeness reflects the character of the triune God – God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. The safety that comes from the relational value also provides a secure environment for us to grow as believers and exercise the gifts we have without fear of making mistakes. We also seek to be a place of rest and blessing to all who visit.
- The presence of God manifested among us when we gather
However much we are able to help one another, it is only God who can change our lives. His manifest presence is essential if we are to see healing and growth for his people. Whenever we meet together, whether for worship, prayer, teaching, or social activities we are always seeking to experience God's presence in our midst and for others to come to know Jesus.
- The island where we are based, its churches, and communities .
Ynys M ô n is part of our heritage, both physically and spiritually. It is our home. We care deeply for the people and long to see communities of the island transformed. We value being a part of the diverse church life on the island and seek to see a greater cooperation between the various churches.
Vision of Emmanuel Church .
The vision of Emmanuel is to be:
- A church that serves God through worship.
- A church that seeks to draw God's manifest presence into the life of the fellowship and its members.
- A church that serves those committed to it by providing a safe place where they can meet with God at their place of need.
- A church that serves the Isle of Anglesey through prayer, sharing God's love, and providing practical support to the wider church.
The Bread Basket of Wales
At one time Ynys Mon was affectionately known by the Welsh as 'Mam Cymru', translated 'The Mother of Wales'. It was also known as the 'Bread basket of Wales ' because the island supplied the rest of Wales with much of its bread at that time.
Our prayer is that the people of Ynys Mon taste of the true spiritual bread of heaven, the Lord Jesus Christ!
Please take a moment to pray for Ynys Mon and the people of Cymru...... Thank you
